Room was beautiful and very thoughtfully designed and equipped, bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel was very well equipped to deal with rain emergencies (umbrellas, golf carts, gym boots and the hotel even offered to dry our boots when they got drenched). Booking tours and activities was largely very smooth and the guides (Luis and Jessica) were great and very knowledgable and passionate about the forest (tours quite expensive, but as I would expect of booking through the hotel, and one issue with concierge booking us onto a different/more expensive tour option but we caught it). There were quite a few interesting animals walking around the property. Centre of town and nice restaurants walking distance (though return up a very steep hill - the price of being a bit secluded!). Breakfast was good and quick.

Very cute cabins. The staff were extremely helpful and organized all of the activities and tours for us. They also arrange the transportation to our next site. The restaurant is very reasonable and the food is clearly cooked by someone with culinary training. The poached eggs for breakfast were perfectly done, pancakes were light and fluffy. Guests have free access to the Agouti wildlife trail which is a good workout since the facility does not have a fitness room. We got a massage in the room and it was very effective. Short distance from the town where you can stop and get food. However, Monteverde is extremely hilly so it’s quite a lower body workout, especially since it’s very windy.

We loved everything about our stay at Senda Monteverde! We enjoyed the private patio and overlook (could see the Pacific ocean with clear skies). Beautiful landscaping of the grounds attracted a variety of hummingbirds and butterflies to outside our window. A well-stocked mini bar gave us some snacks to fuel our afternoon hike through the Aguti Reserve (ticket complementary with your stay). We also saw many agoutis just on the hotel property. But one of our favorite parts of our stay was the incredible restaurant. It was easily the best dinner of our trip!

Our room was spectacular! We had a view of the sunset every night and went to sleep with the screen door open to peaceful sounds of the forest. We saw lots of wildlife on the property including coatis, agoutis, and many birds including a Crested Guan and a Montezuma Oropendolo in the tree right by our porch! The restaurant was delicious and all of the hotel staff were amazing. They helped us book a ziplining tour and a birdwatching tour with a private guide where we saw the famous quetzal. It was pure heaven.

We loved everything about Senda Hotel. It was nothing short of a beautiful and peaceful retreat. So many nice touches from placing hot water bottles on our bed at night to placing a heater beside our table while eating. The grounds were so clean and birds/wildlife everywhere. I hope to come back here one day.
